Seth Goding comments on a new kind of spam deluge kicked off by crappy* social sites like facebook.

I was going to comment on this earlier but I have noticed the opposite, a marked reduction in the ‘friendly’ spam I receive in my inbox, you know the kind where your friends are bored at work so send on daft jokes, videos, pictures of cats and such like.

Even my sister seems to have stopped sending me those circular emails about kids with leukemia who will get 50p from Bill Gates for every email sent. Presumably it is easier to send them on to her Beebo contacts.

Once again, I’m glad I’m not part of it.

*By ‘crappy’ I mean social sites that have no central purpose or real life social object.
